Conservation is like a puzzle of interconnected and engaged parts. If a species becomes extinct, nature’s fine balance is impacted and the repercussions reverberate for eternity. If rhino disappear from our landscape, the conservation picture is scarred and incomplete. OLLI’s message to our children… our future … is that ordinary people can do EXTRAordinary things – the only difference between the two words is EXTRA. We show them that each puzzle piece represents each one of us. The parts that extend represent our strengths and talents – our EXTRA. The parts that are indented are where we need to engage with others and draw on their strengths – their EXTRA - that complement ours. When we connect those pieces, our combined EXTRA ensures a strong and cohesive foundation - together we are able to build a beautiful and complete picture. The missing puzzle piece shows that the picture is incomplete.
It also represents each one of us, because unless we are all invested in the future of our natural heritage, the conservation picture is incomplete.
OLLI is determined that extinction cannot, will not… be our legacy! Collaboration is key – but it begins with ME! Do not be The Missing Piece! We need to ask ourselves… “If not me – then who? If not now – then when?” Extinction cannot be our Legacy!

I’ve always been drawn to street art that overpowers the viewer, purely because of its vast dimension and the freedom and rebelliousness of the spray-paint medium. Graffiti is so contemporary and urban, and most of all, not in a private gallery but rather, out there for everyone to enjoy. It is universal, no language is needed, and it's up to the individual to interpret. My style is Urban Contemporary and very Expressive, I seldom colour between the lines and the importance of an expressive mark is what separates the messiness and human footprint, vs the digital and AI categories. I am highly influenced by the Eastern Cape, our people, our culture and our colours. My colours are derivative of the rural Xhosa villages, and the beautiful bright colours of their homes are brought into a juxtaposition using a modern medium like spray paint in an urban setting. My subjects are most often portraits, whether animals, persons or plants. Portraits, being so traditional, once again juxtaposed against the modern medium. The impact of colour and size is to grab attention and magnify the importance of the subject. I am a glass-half-full kind of human, so I like to inspire through showcasing the beauty of what we have and to throw a positive and inspiring light on our country. We’re beautiful, we’re resilient, and we’re passionate people. I want everyone to see and feel the beauty of our country and each other.
After working in an anti-poaching unit (Abalone) for 5 years I realise what it takes to protect a natural resource, how far the syndicates go and how much every bit counts, if not you then who? I am so proud to be affiliated with Ollie Moves and believe wholeheartedly in their message, that we need to move and do something whatever that may be, it’s better than doing nothing. Getting young people involved with the puzzle project shows them how they can do something to help and get involved purely through their creativity. Young people are our hope and will be carrying the baton for us soon, it’s important that they realise how they can be an important piece of the bigger picture. It’s our responsibility to take care of our Rhino’s, we can’t always leave it to someone else.

To borrow from Eric Liddell, God has gifted me with talents and desires to create, and when I do, I feel His pleasure. I play across a wide range of subject matter and media: painting, drawing, and sculpting and this gives me scope to explore and articulate how I experience the world and myself living in it. Stewardship and conservation of our natural resources is a human responsibility which I embrace, and one way I choose to do so is by using my craft to support organisations, in this case Olli, who are making great progress for causes and creatures I love, like the rhinoceros.

Christine Lamberth
Christine Lamberth is an award-winning wildlife artist who hails from Rorke’s Drift in KwaZulu-Natal. Her work has been exhibited in London, Moscow, St Petersburg, Johannesburg and many other centers. Christine’s work is Afri-centered and is intended to set up a discourse about the greed of man and how it affects the wildlife of the African continent. She hopes to be able to redirect the gaze of the viewer from that of a romanticized concept of the African landscape to an awareness that time is running out and the animals of Africa need our help.
"My primary interest in wildlife had its origins in the contemplation of nature. However, my work has now moved into a more subjective emotional observation of the dire straits in which the fauna of the world has remorselessly been plunged. Through the interrogation of this subject, it is my intention to redirect the gaze of the viewer from the romantic concept of an African landscape to a current worldview where the imminent danger of a disappearing species becomes the focus.
Man is driven by a desire to accumulate and commodify all that he sees. From the time of the Voyages of Discovery we have been scouring the globe to find and then possess all that we see. In a current scenario where the population of the world has mushroomed to a staggering 7 500 000 000 it is imperative that we set up a different narrative for our existence on a planet that is overpopulated and under resourced. My work is a comment on that commodification intended to make us think about what we are doing and hopefully to motivate the viewer to change their behavior.
I am aspiring to setting up a conversation with my work that will elucidate a sense of awareness while informing the viewer. I aim to be bold, in your face and to confront you, the viewer to see Africa through my eyes."

Bretten-Anne Moolman
Bretten-Anne Moolman’s artistic interests and fascination lies in the landscape, rainfall, human interaction and territory. She shares with viewers a seven-year fascination with imagining a giant circuit board under the earth’s layer that is activated by rain and fertility to electrify color and energy on the earth’s observable landscape. She uses acrylic and oil paint in this investigation into semi-abstract landscapes sometimes mapping rainfall from data collected. Moolman has a deep love for color theory and color history.
Graduating with a Fine Arts Degree in painting from Rhodes University (1991), Moolman went on to complete a Higher Diploma in Art Education with three distinctions (1994). Living in Gqeberha as a professional artist, she has held multiple solo exhibitions, has participated in numerous group exhibitions over the years. Moolman currently lectures undergraduate painting in the fine arts department at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Her works are in private and corporate collections nationally and abroad. She is currently working towards a solo exhibition at the GFI Gallery for 2026. She owns and runs an art gallery and art school, Art on Target in Gqeberha, where she teaches art to children and adults since 2000.
The idea of being able to influence someone’s thinking or perception through an image that provokes a shift in consciousness about such a vulnerable creature like the rhino is what has motivated me to part of this project.

Gillian Anette Bowman
Gillian (Gill) Bowman, has had a diverse and rich journey through various fields. After retiring as a priest in the Anglican Church, she decided to devote her time to creating artworks. Gill and her spouse, Roy, have found their home in the scenic town of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Their home offers them breathtaking views of the Baakens River Valley Nature Reserve, a wellspring of inspiration for her art. Living in Port Elizabeth, they have embraced the tranquil surroundings, which have provided her with the time and space to nurture her creative spirit.
The conservation of our only home, the planet earth, depends on our collaborative efforts. I love our planet Earth. Everything we do is connected to everything else and so conservation, protection and support are needed in every area of our planet. I am joining this initiative to support the One Land Love It as I am appalled at the consistent slaughter of rhino's just to serve greed for money. I am so impressed by the contribution the One Land Love It gives to the Rangers and Reserves in combatting the surge of poachers. Likewise, I am impressed by the education initiatives they present to children in all areas. One Land Love It deserves all the support we can give for the excellent work they do.

Robynne Gouws
I am a Fine art graduate from the University of the Free State with a love for God, nature, adventure and people. This year marks the 6th year of owning MyVibe Art Studio where I have had the privilege to work with people from all different walks of life. MyVibe Art studio is not only a space for art but a space for connection and fellowship.
The reason why I’ve chosen to collaborate with OlliArtMove is because I have a love for animals and the outdoors. This is a great opportunity to come together as artists as we get to share our “voices” through what we create. Teaming up with Olli, a movement that works towards giving Rhinos a voice, seemed like something I couldn’t say no to! I hope to depict, through this piece, that Rhino are strong and beautifully unique creatures that God has made and that deserve a future.

As an artist I am captivated by the narratives captivated woven into the act of work, exploring how toil shapes and defines individual and collective identities. I utilize materials that that hold symbolic significance, such as inks and pencil, to evoke a sense of continuity and history. In my work I explore how “Ubuntu” connects us to one another, forming a web of interdependence that binds communities together. It reflects on the shared experiences and collective efforts that contribute to our societal fabric.
As an artist is our responsibility to create awareness and assist creatively in the battle against rhino poaching. We are not only connected to humanity, but also with nature and similarly are bound together in a web of interdependence. We need to ensure the survival of rhinos for future generations.
